Στο Yellow Radio το ολοκαίνουριο τραγούδι των θρυλικών The Dream Syndicate που μόλις κυκλοφόρησε
Δύο μόλις μήνες μετά από την κυκλοφορία του τελευταίου τους άλμπουμ The Universe Inside, ο Steve Wynn και η παρέα του ξαναχτυπούν με νέα κομματάρα. Με τον τίτλο “Hold Brother Hold” μας θυμίζουν για ακόμη μία φορά γιατί παραμένουν ένα από τα αγαπημένα μας συγκροτήματα.
“Παίζουμε μουσική που θέλουμε να ακούσουμε γιατί κανείς άλλος δεν το κάνει… Θα συμβιβαστώ σε αυτό που τρώω ή πού κοιμάμαι, αλλά δεν θα συμβιβαστώ για τη μουσική που παίζω…”, Steve Wynn.
Οι “ασυμβίβαστοι” The Dream Syndicate δημιουργήθηκαν, στο Λος Άντζελες, σε ένα υπόγειο στα τέλη του 1981 από τους Steve Wynn (κιθάρα, φωνητικά), Dennis Duck (ντραμς), Karl Precoda (κιθάρα) και Kendra Smith (μπάσο) και θεωρούνται πρωτοπόροι του Paisley Underground.
Έχοντας επηρεαστεί από τους Velvet Underground, Τhe Fall, The Gun Club, Neu, Τhe Stooges, Big Star, The Modern Lovers η μουσική τους δεν έμοιαζε με τίποτε άλλο τη δεδομένη χρονική στιγμή. Ψυχεδελική Garage μουσική, έτη φωτός μακριά από το “ρεύμα” που επικρατούσε εκείνη την εποχή, παρ’όλα αυτά η μπάντα αγαπήθηκε από το κοινό σε σύντομο χρονικό διάστημα.
Παρά την ολοένα αυξανόμενη επιτυχία τους το συγκρότημα διαλύθηκε στα τέλη του 1988 μέχρι το 2012. Μετά από μία εμφάνιση στο περίφημο φεστιβάλ Walk On Project, στο Bilbao της Ισπανίας, ο Steve Wynn αρχίζει και σκέφτεται την ιδέα της επιστροφής των Dream Syndicate.
Η θρυλική λοιπόν μπάντα επέστρεψε με μοναδικές Live εμφανίσεις και νέες κυκλοφορίες.
Με ακουστικά ή χωρίς, ανεβάστε την ένταση και αφεθείτε στους ήχους του “Hold Brother Hold”…
